"I'm
With Busey" Spotlight in Entertainment Weekly
(June 13, 2003)
It's
nice to see that Gary's still up to his old interview tactics,
whether he's talking to Metal Rules Magazine or Entertainment
Weekly. I get the feeling Gary only processes about
one out of every three words spoken to him. Few
celebrities can bring an interview to a grinding halt like
Gary. It takes special skill to force your interviewer
at one point to respond with merely "Huh?" Enjoy.
EW:
What do your other celebrity friends think when they see you
out with this fan and all these cameras? Do they sort of
understand what...
GB:
Do they sort of understand? You've got to stop
using the words sort of because you're not really
achieving an accomplishment there.
EW:
Do they ask about it?
GB:
I have no idea. I can't speak for other people.
Did who ask me what?
EW:
Huh?
GB:
DID ... WHO ... ASK ... ME ... WHAT?
EW:
All right, let's start over. Do any of your friends ask
you what's going on when they see cameras trailing you?
GB:
Nobody's seen it yet. It's not on the air.
EW:
No, I mean, if they run into you one the street or a movie set
while you're filming.
[No
answer.]
EW:
Okay, well, is there anything else you'd like to say about the
show?
GB:
I've said it to you already, and the point is, just watch it.
